Position Overview
Gilbert Center for Family Medicine is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our exceptional team. This Advanced Practice Provider will work both independently and in collaboration with our physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a primary care setting.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care
- Prescribe medications and order appropriate diagnostic testing
- Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR
- Make appropriate referrals for conditions beyond scope of practice
- Contribute to quality improvement, mentorship, and team development
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the State of Arizona (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
- Current federal DEA certificate to prescribe controlled substances
- Minimum 2 years of Advanced Practice Provider experience in a primary care setting
- BLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong EMR proficiency; experience with electronic medical records in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and quality improvement experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, and stress management skills
- Compassionate, conscientious approach to patient care with exceptional clinical judgment
